welcome, blog brethren
A website, a blog, space to vent... good things to have in 2026.
A website, a blog, space to vent... good things to have in 2026.
If you're here for legal journalism, I do do that, but your best bet would be to wrangle a subscription from my employer, Law360. That said, I still plan on putting out some short posts offering extra thoughts on my reporting, which primarily covers insurance and climate change. The focus of this blog will be loftier. Art. Love. Nature. Democracy.
Rather than list some things I enjoy, I'll meet the immediacy of the blog format by listing some things that I'm enjoying at this very instant. They include: swamp pop legend Johnnie Allan's cover of Chuck Berry's "Promised Land," learning the pinyin romanization of Mandarin Chinese, garlic-stuffed olives, and free expression.
You would do me untold honors to subscribe, but know that I don't plan on putting up any kind of paywall. So if you would just prefer to mosey on through every so often, you'll see what there is to see. And if you linger, let it be with great pleasure.
No promises on blog frequency. Maybe every week. Maybe see you in 2027.
You can read my first real post at this link. It is a work of short fiction.
